Compound Words

So, is it blackboard or black board? Why is classroom spelled as one word but living room is spelled as two? It's enough to drive anyone to drink! Now would you like some gingerale or ginger ale? I say Guinness.

Looking for Some Answers?

Here's a quick alternative to a search engine for simple facts and figures. It is M.I.T.'s project called START -- Natural Language Question Answering System. This is a great little tool if you want some reading practice for more technical subjects. For example, enter "Why is the sky blue?"








Verb Tense Review

Everybody loves verb tenses, but if you are still having trouble with some of the tenses, use this little quiz to get some review. The questions aren't too challenging, so use them to reinforce your overall understanding.
